The midpoint of the 2023/24 season has showcased some standout performances from goalkeepers, marked by Marcin Bulka's emergence at OGC Nice. The towering Polish goalkeeper, alongside Lucas Chevalier (LOSC), gained recognition as the third and fourth goalkeeper to save two penalties in a single Ligue 1 match since the 2006/07 season.

The Remarkable Bulka:

Leading the best defense in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, conceding only nine goals in 17 games, Marcin Bulka dominates various specific rankings (among goalkeepers who played at least half of the matches). He excels in save percentage and number of clean sheets.

At the Allianz Riviera, Bulka's prowess is even more evident with a 90% save rate from 20 shots on target and seven clean sheets in nine matches, conceding only two goals. Pau Lopez from Marseille follows closely behind the Pole with an impressive 88.9% save rate at the Orange Vélodrome and six clean sheets.

In away games, Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG) boasts the highest save percentage (82.1%), making 23 saves with only five goals conceded in seven appearances. Marco Bizot (SB29) trails Donnarumma with an 81.4% save rate and three clean sheets on the road. At the mid-season mark, Brice Samba (RCL) has also shone with five matches played without conceding a goal in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

*Arnau Tenas (PSG) holds an 84.62% save rate this season but has only played 3 Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches.

Diaw and Mvogo Lead the Charge:

Regarding standout performances, Alexandre Oukidja (FC Metz) made 11 saves against AS Monaco on September 22 (conceding two goals), the highest save count for a goalkeeper in a Ligue 1 match this season. Oukidja ranks fourth among the busiest goalkeepers in Ligue 1, accumulating 66 saves. Leading this chart, Mory Diaw (CF63) and Yvon Mvogo (FCL) stand out; Diaw holds the best save percentage, facing nine fewer shots on target than Mvogo (113, the season's highest total).

However, Mvogo has conceded the most goals this season (35), significantly ahead of Mory Diaw and Alexandre Oukidja (26). At the bottom of the ranking, the goalkeepers with the fewest goals conceded are Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG, 12) and Marcin Bulka (9), among those who played at least half of the matches.
