Reigning Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions LOSC will be out to breathe life into their European hopes by notching their first win of the campaign when Sevilla come calling at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Wednesday night.
UEFA Champions League Matchday 3
Group G
Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille
LOSC - Sevilla
- Kick-off at 19:00 GMT
Jocelyn Gourvennec would have been hoping for better preparation than the 1-0 loss his side conceded away to promoted Clermont in their Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 10 clash at the weekend, but the LOSC boss has the consolation of a near-full strength side to field when Group G's second-placed side Sevilla come the north of France on Wednesday.
LOSC will look to their first-choice strike duo of Jonathan David and Burak Yilmaz to do the damage as Jonathans Ikoné and Bamba feed them from wide positions and Renato Sanches and Benjamin André shore up the centre of the park.
Wide open
Meanwhile captain José Fonte will be partnered by fellow Portuguese Tiago Djalo - in for the injured Sven Botman (groin) - in front of 'keeper Ivo Grbic with Zeki Celik and Reinildo out wide to complete the 4-4-2.
Les Dogues will certainly face an attacking threat from Julen Lopetegui's 4-2-3-1, but should they be able to muzzle the visitors' attack and get in behind their defence, a win in a relatively open Group G - fourth-placed LOSC are just a point behind Sevilla in second - could do wonders for their prospects of progressing to the knockout rounds.
Probable teams
LOSC: Grbic; Celik, Fonte (c), Djalo, Reinildo; Ikoné, André, Sanches, Babmba; Yilmaz, David
Sevilla: Bounou; Navas (c), Koundé, Diego Carlos, Acuna; Fernando, Jordan; Suso, Gomez, Ocampos; Mir
