FC Lorient forward Mohamed Bamba has been one of the hottest players in Ligue 1 since joining the club in January. Here's a statistical overview highlighting the impressive transition the 22-year-old has made to French football.

Bamba is the only player this season in Ligue 1 to score as many goals as the number of games he's played, registering six goals in six games for Lorient.

The Lorient star joined a select group of players in the 21st century by scoring his first six goals in just six Ligue 1 matches. He follows Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who did it in five matches in 2012, Mario Balotelli in five games in 2016, and Neymar in six games in 2017.

Bamba has scored in five out of his six games in Ligue 1, including a brace against RC Strasbourg. Since Opta began collecting this data, no player has scored in more different games across his first six appearances in France's top flight.

In the 21st century, Bamba is the fourth to achieve this feat, joining Folarin Balogun, Radamel Falcao, and Benjani, who all scored precisely five goals in their first six games in Ligue 1.

Of all the players who've scored at least twice this season, Bamba stands out for his scoring prowess. Bamba scores a goal every 70 minutes, beating out Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé (83 minutes) and Stade Brestois' Kamory Doumbia (96 minutes) for the best minutes per goal.

The young striker also possesses the best touches per goal (24 touches) since joining Lorient. Olympique de Marseille's Faris Moumbagna (35 touches) is the only player who closely rivals Bamba in this statistical category. Following these two standouts are Wesley Said (50 touches), Mbappé (52 touches), and Zakaria Aboukhlal (53 touches).
