In the Asian Cup, Paris Saint-Germain star Kang-in Lee played the entire 90 minutes in South Korea's 2-2 draw against a Jordan side led by Montpellier’s Musa Al-Taamari. The Tigers of Asia will now look to conclude the group stage on Thursday with a win against Malaysia.
Switching over to AFCON, OGC Nice's Youcef Atal and Lille OSC's Nabil Bentaleb were in the starting 11 for Algeria. Lille's Adam Ounas also came off the bench to play 16 minutes for the Greens in the 2-2 draw against Burkina Faso. Algeria will close out the group stage with a matchup against Mauritania.
In a one-all draw between Mali and Tunisia, several Ligue 1 players took the field, led by Montassar Talbi of FC Lorient playing the full 90 minutes for Tunisia.
Mali's starting lineup included Boubakar Kouyaté and Falaye Sacko from Montpellier, along with Kamory Doumbia from Stade Brestois. During the first half, Doumbia assisted Lassine Sinayoko in scoring Mali’s goal.
Mali will now face Namibia in the final group stage match, while Tunisia will wrap up their group stage play against South Africa.
