Europa League fate decided for PSG, Lille

UEFA Europa League

Paris Saint-Germain and Lille discovered the route they must take if they are to reach the Europa League`s latter stages when the draw for the last 32 and last sixteen was made in Switzerland on Friday.

Paris Saint-Germain - who reached the last eight of the UEFA Cup in 2009 - will face Belarussian champions BATE Borisov in the last 32. If they come through that, they will then meet either Portuguese champions Benfica or Bundesliga giants VfB Stuttgart in the following round.

Meanwhile, Lille - who qualified as runners-up in Group C - are likely to find the going tough against Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in the last 32. However, should they get the better of a side that were European champions in 1988, Rudi Garcia`s men would then come up against either Rangers or Sporting Lisbon in the last sixteen. The LOSC were in the same group as the Portuguese side, losing 2-1 at home and 1-0 away as Sporting went on to win the section.
