UEFA Europa League Group I

AS Saint-Etienne 0-0 KAA Gent

Claude Puel (Saint-Etienne coach): "I'm satisfied with our commitment to the match, even if it's disappointing to have been knocked out. We played to a very high level in the first half both with and without the ball. We suffocated our opponents but didn't take advantage of our strong spells. We're still constructing. We have a lot of injured players and not many possibilities when it comes to rotating the team. Despite that, we're still managing to put in coherent performances."

Robert Beric (Saint-Etienne forward): "The draw means we're eliminated. That's a pity and it's not satisfying. That said, I think we played well even if we didn't manage to score a goal. It's disappointing to not have managed to win a match in this competition."

UEFA Europa League Group E

Celtic FC 3-1 Stade Rennais FC

Julien Stéphan (Rennes coach): "Yes, Celtic are a good team. They are leading the group, they are full of confidence, but there is a lack of speed and power in our team, I think. If you don’t have this or the depth of squad, you can’t push a team like Celtic. We just need to adapt and use the players we have to improve.”

Benjamin Bourigeaud (Rennes midfielder): "It was a very difficult game and they were better than us today. We never gave up, though, and it’s that team spirit that we need to take out of the game. We managed to get a goal and we stayed united right until the end, through the difficult times."
