French Cup semi-final draw

French Cup

Holders Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Angers, while Nice take on Lille in the last four of the French Cup after the draw was made on Sunday.

PSG will face the only surviving side from Ligue 2 at the Stade Jean-Bouin. Angers have reached this stage of the competition for the first time since 1969 and have already taken two top-flight scalps in the shape of Valenciennes and Bordeaux. Meanwhile, Antoine Kombouaré’s men have not been drawn against Ligue 1 opposition since facing Lens in the round of 64.

The other semi-final match-up is an all-Ligue 1 affair, as Nice – who most recently won the French Cup in 1997, and knocked out Lyon in the last 32 – play host to Lille. Rudi Garcia’s side remain on course for the domestic double, although they needed penalties to get the better of Nantes and Lorient in the last two rounds.
