UEFA Champions League last 16, second leg

Nou Camp, Barcelona

FC Barcelona  5 - 1  Olympique Lyonnais  - Barcelona win 5-1 on aggregate

Ernesto Valverde (FC Barcelona coach): "Everyone's asking me about the 20 minute where we weren't so good, but we had an incredible first half and could have scored a lot more goals. We conceded a goal but bounced right back and widened our lead. This competition is tough and any team can make your life difficult. But we were good in both legs, and really brought the cutting edge in the second. We take everyone seriously in this competition, but obviously we want to goals the way. [On Lionel Messi] It was an incredible match from Leo. Even though we're used to it, he still surprises us."

Bruno Genesio (Olympique Lyonnais coach): "It was a game of two halves. We struggled way too much with Barcelona's pressing in the first half. Things got better in the second, and our hopes were reignited as they seemed to falter for about 15 minutes before the third goal. We had planned to play high up the pitch but Barcelona's quality didn't permit that. We did better in the second half, but after the third goal, it was impossible. We have no regrets, just questions. We knew that a lot of it would depend on Lionel Messi. He switched into Champions League mode and proved yet again that he is one of the best players in the world. He's a genius."
