Henry backs Mbappé to set 'very high bar' with France
Thierry Henry has tipped Kylian Mbappé to "set the bar very very high" with France after the Paris Saint-Germain prodigy's lightning start to his international career.
Mbappé already has 13 goals in 33 senior appearances for France at 20, an age when Henry was only just beginning to break into the Les Bleus' squad.
The former Arsenal, Barcelona and New York Red Bulls striker went on to score a French record 51 times in 123 games for his country, but expects Mbappé to pass his mark, and then some.
"People say Kylian is young, but you can't really say that given what he does, the number of games he's played, by the intelligence in his play, which is something I highlight often when I talk about Mbappé, his speed, the speed of his feet, his dribbles, his goals," Henry explained.
"If he doesn't get injured, he'll play for the national side, and he's going to set the bar very very high."
