Injury cloud for Varane
Suffering from a groin complaint, France captain Raphaël Varane failed to complete his training session with Les Bleus on Saturday, raising questions as to his fitness for Tuesday's UEFA Nations League clash with Germany.
Raphaël Varane did not complete Saturday's training session with his France teammates, instead doing some standing bike work while the rest of Didier Deschamps' squad took to the field at Clairefontaine.
The Les Bleus defender, who was subbed off with a at half-time in the 2-2 friendly draw with Iceland on Thursday, has been suffering from a slight groin complaint and was exempted from the end of the session by the coaching staff, who were looking to take every precaution with the Real Madrid man.
France, currently on top of UEFA Nations League Group A, face off against Germany at the Stade de France in Paris at 21:00 on Tuesday, 16 October.
