Les Bleus: Dubois gets the call
After missing out on a place in the last France squad through injury, OL's fit-again right-back Léo Dubois was recalled by coach Didier Deschamps for the final two Euro 2020 qualifiers.
On Thursday, France coach Didier Deschamps announced his list of 23 players for the last two matches of the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign, which will pit the reigning world champions against Moldova (at home on Thursday, 14 November) and then Albania (away on Sunday, 17 November).
A list that includes Léo Dubois, who makes a comeback in the French squad. Injured in the derby against AS Saint-Etienne on 6 October, Olympique Lyonnais' right-back had to withdraw from the last Les Bleus meeting. He is one of six players in Ligue 1 Conforama named in Didier Deschamps' latest list of 23.
Jonathan Ikoné (LOSC), who has been out of the spotlight in recent weeks, has not been called up by the French coach on a list where only two changes have been made since the last meeting. Former OL talisman Nabil Fekir, back in good shape with Real Betis, replaces Ikone, while Benjamin Mendy, who hasn't been called up to the French team since September 2018 due to his many injuries, replaces Lucas Hernandez (injured).
