Les Bleus: Fekir under a cloud
OL captain Nabil Fekir continues to suffer from a groin complaint that could keep him out of Friday's UEFA Nations League clash with the Netherlands at Satdion Feijenoord in Rotterdam.
On Tuesday, Djibril Sidibé (calf), Steve Mandanda (knock) and Nabil Fekir (groin) all had individual training sessions as they looked to fully recover from their respective injury niggles but, whereas the full-back and 'keeper returned to train with the squad on Wednesday, Fekir's participation in Friday's match was put under further doubt as he undertook another individual session.
That the OL midfielder is suffering from a groin complaint two days out from the UEFA Nations League clash in Rotterdam casts serious doubt over his participation in the match, but he is scheduled to return to full training on Thursday, at which time coach Didier Deschamps will make his assessment.
The match is shaping up as an important one for the World Cup winners, who can secure top spot in Group A - and place at the finals, to be held in June 2019 in either Italy, Poland or Portugal - with a draw or better against the Oranje on Friday night.
