Ligue 1 clubs kept apart in last 16 draw

French Cup

The seven Ligue 1 clubs left in the French Cup have all been drawn against lower-level opposition. Holders PSG will travel south to play Martigues, while Lille are at home to Nantes.

Lille goalkeeper Mickaël Landreau will be reunited with Les Canaris, now in Ligue 2, where he sprang to prominence. Landreau said: "I would have preferred to have played at the Stade Beaujoire. Whenever Nantes are involved it is special for me. It will not be easy because Nantes are good away from home."

PSG coach Antoine Kombouaré said: "Martigues, that's not far from Marseille is it? There will be quite an atmosphere. I've got a habit of saying that it is only after the match has been played that I will be able to tell you whether it was a good draw or not."

Round of 16 draw (ties to be played on Tuesday February 1 and Wednesday February 2):

Chambéry (CFA2, D5) - Sochaux (L1)

Martigues (CFA, D4) - Paris SG (L1)

Lille (L1) - Nantes (L2)

Angers (L2) - Strasbourg (National, D3)

Nancy (L1) - Le Mans (L2)

Rennes (L1) - Reims (L2)

Lorient (L1) - Metz (L2)

Drancy (CFA, D4) - Nice (L1)
