Ligue 1 trio learn play-off fate
Big-spending Paris Saint-Germain will face a Greek challenge in the Europa League play-offs, but Sochaux and Rennes were given trickier ties when the draw was made on Friday.
PSG will play Greek side Volos over two legs for a place in the group stages - with the first leg in Greece - but while that tie looks well within the capabilities of Antoine Kombouaré's men, their Ligue 1 counterparts were not as fortunate.
Rennes, who came through the third qualifying round with ease, were given the dubious reward of a tie with 1991 European Cup winners Red Star Belgrade with the Breton club hosting the first leg, while Sochaux take on Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv, though Mecha Bazdarevic's men will play the second leg at home.
The first legs will take place on 18 August with the return matches a week later.
