Lyon's Ndombele gets first France call
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been given a first call-up to France's senior squad ahead of this month's internationals with Iceland and Germany.
Ndombele, who has 11 caps at Under-21 level, could make his senior debut in the friendly against Iceland in Guingamp on 11 October or the UEFA Nations League encounter with Germany at the Stade de France in Paris five days later.
He is joined in the squad by Lyon teammate and captain Nabil Fekir.
Ligue 1 Conforama leaders and reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain have three players included in goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, defender Presnel Kimpembe and forward Kylian Mbappé.
Arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille have two — goalkeeper Steve Mandanda and Florian Thauvin — with AS Monaco's Djibril Sidibé also included by coach Didier Deschamps.
