Osimhen and Yazici among the goals
Several Ligue 1 Conforama players distinguished themselves with their national teams on Tuesday, Nemanja Radonjic, Victor Osimhen and Yusuf Yazici all scoring their first international goals.
Victor Osimhen, who has already proven decisive for LOSC in the early stages of the Ligue 1 Conforama season, has also distinguished himself with his national team, as have OM's Nemanja Radonjic and PSG'' Leandro Paredes.
Les Dogues have been shining brightly on national-team duty. Irresistible with LOSC at the start of the season in Ligue 1 Conforama (four goals in four games), Victor Osimhen scored his first goal for Nigeria, firing home from the penalty spot in the 34th minute of a 2-2 friendly draw with Ukraine.
Meanwhile Yusuf Yazici scored the last goal for Turkey in their 4-0 Euro 2020 qualifying win over Moldova. The playmaker - who made the move to the north of France in the summer - conjured a superb curler from the edge of the area (88') to open his scoring account for Turkey in style.
Radonjic and Paredes step up
Having spent much of the early season on the bench for their respective Ligue 1 Conforama clubs, Nemanja Radonjic and Leandro Paredes took advantage of the international break to showcase their qualities.
The versatile Olympique de Marseille winger scored Serbia's second goal against Luxembourg (1-3), firing in clinically from the edge of the area just minutes after coming on as a substitute (55'). Like Osimhen and Yazici, this was his first international goal.
Meanwhile Leandro Paredes, who was a starter in Argentina's 4-0 friendly win over Mexico, provided an assist for Lautaro Martinez and also sturck from the spot (33') for his second goal in 20 caps with the Albiceleste. This stint with the national team will give confidence to the midfielder, who has only played 51 minutes for Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel in the league so far this season.
