Bastia forfeit abandoned OL clash
The LFP Disciplinary Commission has sanctioned SC Bastia with measures including an automatic loss after their home match against Olympique Lyonnais was abandoned when fans stormed the pitch and attacked visiting players.
The LFP's Disciplinary Commission met on Thursday night and handed down a number of sanctions against SC Bastia in response to the grave incidents that saw Lyon players attacked before the Week 33 clash in Corsica and at half-time when home fans invaded the pitch.
Three points for Lyon
The commission ruled that the match be awarded to Lyon without being replayed, with Bastia ordered to play their next three home matches behind closed doors and at a neutral venue. On top of that, their fans will not be permitted to travel to away games, and the club's Director of Services Anthony Agostini has been suspended for six months.
The Corsican club, who sit at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table, have already served one match of their home-game stadium ban, playing their Week 35 clash with Stade Rennais - a 1-0 win - at FC Istres' Stade Parsemain.
