French football to help Notre-Dame rebuild
Nathalie Boy de la Tour, the president of the LFP, has announced that French football will contribute financially to the rebuilding of the Notre-Dame de Paris.
The French capital's most visited monument sustained significant damage after going ablaze on Monday evening. All but the spire and wooden roof have been saved, and Boy de la Tour has confirmed that the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) will get behind reconstruction efforts.
"The world of French football will mobilise to be able to financially help the reconstruction of this cathedral, which is part of our heritage," she said during the presentation of a partnership with the World Wildlife Fund of France.
"This is help that we will coordinate with all the players in French football. We stand in solidarity during this drama which affects us all. It touches everybody."
