Paris Saint-Germain had the better of their home game with Nice but failed to make the breakthrough and it finished goalless at the Parc des Princes.

PSG have now gone four games unbeaten in Ligue 1 yet this was still a disappointing result for the capital club given the extent of their dominance and Nice were grateful to their young Colombian international goalkeeper David Ospina for his efforts as Les Aiglons salvaged a point.

Nice had lost their last two league games and coach Eric Roy must have feared an unwanted hat-trick as all of the first-half chances fell PSG’s way.

Ospina punched away a long shot from Christophe Jallet and then produced two wonder saves to deny Guillaume Hoarau.

PSG continued in the same vein after the interval, although Emerse Faé could have put Nice in front on 49 minutes but for some magnificent defending from home midfielder Clément Chantôme. Ex-PSG forward Danijel Ljuboja tested Apoula Edel in goal on 65 minutes.

Antonie Kombouaré’s PSG have been heavily reliant on new boy Nene all season long and the signing from Monaco went close to netting a fifth Ligue 1 goal of the season on two occasions in the second half.

Stéphane Sessegnon spurned a late opportunity and so PSG had to settle for a draw. They have dropped seven points in five home games this season, and Nice would have been the happier of the two sides with the share of the spoils.
