Kombouaré: I didn't watch much while out of work
New Toulouse boss Antoine Kombouaré has admitted he didn't watch much football in between leaving Dijon and taking up his new position with Toulouse.
Now in charge of his seventh top-flight club, the experienced Paris Saint-Germain coach starts his Toulouse salvage mission at home to LOSC on Saturday evening.
Kombouaré said: "I'm going to be very honest. I only followed things a little bit and from far away. I was only watching the highlights on Jour de Foot. I didn't watch full matches. I decided to cut myself off from things in order to take a much-needed breather. I only left Dijon four months ago though and not a lot has changed apart from the Lyon anomaly."
The new TFC boss hasn't studied the club's fixture list too much. He said: "I've not really looked at it. I only know that we are playing Lille and then Rennes, inless I'm making a mistake. In any case, at some point we've got to play everybody. Maybe the big clubs will say it's difficult to face Toulouse. I think that playing against the likes of Dijon, Brest and Amiens are just as difficult games. There are no small clubs, no small matches."
