Lorient and Ripoll part ways
Struggling FC Lorient have parted ways with coach Sylvain Ripoll after suffering an eighth loss in ten games with their defeat at Dijon FCO on Saturday.
Jordan Loties' goal in added time in Dijon was the final blow for Ripoll, who leaves Lorient bottom of the table with just six points.
"FC Lorient have decided to relieve Sylvain Ripoll of his current function," a club statement read.
Ripoll, 45, played for the club before serving as assistant coach to Christian Gourcuff for 11 years, taking charge of the first team himself when his predecessor left in 2014.
