Mboula a long-term absentee
Jordi Mboula's hamstring injury will keep the teenager out of Monaco action for between three and five months, according to the Principality club.
The 19-year-old Spaniard hurt his right hamstring in the 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain last Sunday and was due to undergo an operation in Paris on Thursday. It is another blow to coach Thierry Henry, still striving for his first win as Monaco coach while coping with an injury crisis that has sidelined upwards of 15 players.
Russian star Alexandr Golovin has struggled with ankle problems since joining from CSKA Moscow in the summer and a source close to the player told Russian press agency RIA Novosti: "In the mornings he works in the gym and in the afternoon he's in the pool. We're not talking about him being able to run yet and still less exercises with the ball."
