Monnet-Paquet out for the season
Luckless Kévin Monnet-Paquet is out for the season after undergoing a second knee operation of 2019 on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old sustained his first cruciate ligament injury on February 17 against Paris Saint-Germain, underwent surgery and returned to Les Verts' squad for the derby-day win over Olympique Lyonnais on October 6.
Last Saturday Monnet-Paquet hurt his knee in training and tests confirmed he'd suffered a recurrence of the cruciate ligament injury and that necessitated another operation the following Tuesday.
At Saint-Etienne since 2014, the versatile Monnet-Paquet now faces another long road back.
