Ndombele responds to PSG speculation
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, currently on national team duty with Les Bleus, has said he is 'in no rush' to make any big decisions despite interest from the likes of PSG, Juventus and Man City.
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is bang in the middle of the spotlight at the moment. A freshly minted France international, Ndombele's dynamic performances this season have drawn attention from all over Europe, notably from Paris Saint-Germain. Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas recently welcomed offers from the capital club, but the former Amiens player is keeping his options open.
'Not ruling anything out'
"I haven't paid much attention to their interest," the 21-year-old told French sports daily L'Equipe. "Is it encouraging? Sure, it means that I have been working well. For the moment, I feel good, and that's great for me. But if I'm not doing so well in six months' time, maybe no-one will be talking about me any more.
"I'm a Lyon player, but when I look to the future, I say to myself, 'why not?'. But right now, I'm in no rush. Could the project at PSG interest me? I'm not ruling anything out."
Hefty price tag
Which is wise, considering that Paris are not the only club interested in Ndombele's services. The subject of regular observation by Juventus, he also has a lot of fans in the English Premier League, with Manchester City notably tabling a €50m summer offer that Aulas dismissed. The player's estimated transfer value currently sits at €80m, and should he continue to shine for club and country, that number could continue to grow.
