Neymar injured on Brazil duty
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar pulled up short after just 11 minutes in Brazil's friendly against Nigeria in Singapore on Sunday - just two weeks out from the Classique at home to Marseille.
Everything had been going well for the increasingly injury-prone Neymar. After his desired summer move to Barcelona failed to materialise, the Brazilian bounced back with Paris, regaining all his influence with four important goals in five matches.
The playmaker returned to his country's starting line-up for the friendly against Nigeria in Singapore - his 100th appearance for his country - but pulled up short just 11 minutes in. Clutching his left hamstring after playing a long pass to Gabriel Jesus, Neymar immediately asked to be subbed off and made way for Bayern's Philippe Coutinho.
That he could walk fairly comfortably from the pitch, rather than being stretchered off, seemed to suggest that his exit was more of a precaution than a necessity, but Paris Saint-Germain will be waiting for the results of further examination with bated breath as the Classique - the capital club's biggest fixture of the league season - looms on 27 October.
