 Paris Saint-Germain / LOSC : 3 - 0

PSG coach Antoine Kombouaré again preferred Peguy Luyindula to Guillaume Hoarau as Mevlut Erding's strike partner. Hoarau, last season's top scorer with 17 Ligue 1 goals, is working his way back to full fitness after a long-term adductors problem.

Trips to the Parc des Princes have rarely proved fruitful for Lille, the northern club's last win in the French capital dates back to 1996. It was no surprise when PSG opened the scoring but the identity of the goalscorer did come as a shock.

Clément opener

After a nervous opening in which Robert Vittek, Eden Hazard and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stood out for Lille, PSG began to impose themselves and made the breakthrough in the 28th minute. A corner was cleared only as far as midfielder Jérémy Clément who powered a stunning half-volley into the corner of the net from the corner of the penalty box. Clément has scored a single goal in each of his two previous seasons at the club.

The goal saw PSG relax and Stéphane Sessegnon and Luyindula began to delve into their box of technical tricks.

Lille brought on Ivorian Gervinho for Gabonese attacker Aubameyang at half-time in a bid to turn things around. Fifteen minutes later Hoarau made his bow with Erding the man to make way and Luyindula moving wide right to allow Ludovic Giuly the chance to resume the strike partnership with Hoarau that was so effective last season.

Luyindula and Jallet plunder more

Giuly in turn gave way to Christophe Jallet who was involved in PSG's second goal on 77 minutes. A Sylvain Armand cross was badly cleared by Aurélien Chedjou's knee. Jallet picked it up and played in Luyindula who shot under the body of Ludovic Butelle.

The final goal came in the first minute of stoppage time at the end of the game. Sessegnon worked wonders on the left and crossed for Jallet, whose volley beat Butelle in the Lille goal. The ball went through the keeper's legs and he will be trying to avoid replays of the incident.

PSG are up to ten points from four games heading into the international break while Lille have a catastrophic single point to their credit.
