Raspentino gives Bordeaux sinking feeling
Girondins de Bordeaux plunged further into trouble on Wednesday as a late Florian Raspentino goal condemned Willy Sagnol's side to a 1-0 defeat at SC Bastia.

Raspentino pounced with just a minute remaining at the Stade Armand-Cesari to give Bastia a precious three points. Ghislain Printant's side desperately needed this win after claiming just two victories in their previous 12 outings, and they are sure to finish the midweek round of games outside the relegation zone.
In contrast, it just gets worse and worse for Bordeaux. An embarrassing 4-1 home loss to SM Caen on Sunday had piled the pressure on Sagnol and his players and they needed the boost of a positive result and a clean sheet that they came within moments of achieving in Corsica. Instead, they slip to 17th and are facing up to the prospect of a relegation battle having won only one of their last five outings.
Bordeaux were without the suspended Wahbi Khazri for the game against his former club and were also missing Lamine Sané, Nicolas Pallois and Pablo in central defence. The youngster Ilias Hassani had been tipped to start the game but instead the 20-year-old came on for his Bordeaux debut 16 minutes from time and was responsible for the goal that decided the contest in Bastia's favour in the 89th minute.
There had been precious little goalmouth action before Mathieu Peybernes helped on a long ball into the visitors' box. Cédric Carrasso came off his line but Hassani got to it first. He controlled but then slipped, allowing Raspentino the simple task of rolling the ball into a gaping net for his first goal since joining Bastia on a permanent deal in the summer, leaving Bordeaux, and Hassani in particular, in agony.
