TRANSFERS: Rodelin quits Caen for Guingamp
Striker Ronny Rodelin has left SM Caen for En Avant de Guingamp the clubs have announced.
After spending three seasons with Stade Malherbe de Caen, French striker Ronny Rodelin has joined En Avant de Guingamp, the clubs announced simultaneously on Tuesday without divulging the duration of the player's new deal.
Rodelin, who has 192 matches and 29 goals to his name in France's top flight, produced five goals and five assists for Caen last season, and Guingamp are "happy to welcome one of Ligue 1 Conforama's most established players to its ranks".
'An exemplary player'
"Stade Malherbe would like to thank Ronny Rodelin for his three seasons in the blue and red shirt and wish him all the best for the future," Caen declared in their communiqué. "Appreciated by everyone for his geniality and discretion, Ronny also made his mark with his precision and technical finesse. He is an exemplary player."
The native of Réunion, 28, arrived in France at the age of 10 and attended the youth academy at Rodez before his career blossomed at FC Nantes, ESTAC Troyes (in the third division at the time) and LOSC.
