Verratti to miss Lille clash?
Marco Verratti looks likely to miss Paris Saint-Germain’s next outing at home to LOSC as he continues to undergo treatment on a knee injury, but Neymar Jr. is close to a comeback.
PSG released a statement on Saturday confirming that the Italian was "still undergoing treatment on his right knee injury" and adding that he could return to training at the end of the week, "depending on progress". That would mean the chances of the 27-year-old featuring against Lille on Friday appear slim and Verratti could also face a race against time to be fit for the UEFA Champions League meeting with Real Madrid in Spain on November 26.
Verratti came off 10 minutes from the end of PSG's 2-1 win away at Stade Brestois 29 on November 9, a fixture which was also missed by goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The Costa Rican has a minor adductor problem but his club revealed that he should be back in training next week.
Ander Herrera continues to undergo treatment on a thigh injury but both Neymar and Thomas Meunier are set to return to training at the start of the week following hamstring injuries. The Brazilian has not played since suffering the injury on international duty with Brazil in October and will hope to feature when Lille visit the Parc des Princes.
