At this evening's Trophées UNFP, Paris Saint-Germain were the big winners, picking up most of the major awards for Ligue 1 Uber Eats
The Trophées UNFP took place in Paris earlier this evening, and while Paris Saint-Germain took many of the individual awards, it was also a chance for the season’s surprise package, Stade Brestois 29, to be recognized among the winners for Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
Player of the Year: Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain
The day after playing his last match at the Parc des Princes yesterday, Mbappé won this award for the fifth time — and fourth in a row. The league’s leading scorer with 27 goals, he has helped the capital side win the title for the third time in a row, and leaves the club as its all-time top scorer.
Goalkeeper of the Year: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Paris Saint-Germain
The lanky Italian reclaimed his title, having previously won the award in 2022. A champion once more with PSG, he has kept eleven clean sheets in 25 Ligue 1 Uber Eats appearances, helping his team to have with the joint second-best defence in the division with two matches to play, with only OGC Nice having done better.
Coach of the Year: Éric Roy, Stade Brestois
Appointed last year to his first head coaching job in nearly a decade, Roy’s tenure in Brittany has been a rousing success. Still in the mix to finish in the top four, the Bretons are assured of at least playing European football next season for the first time in their long history, and Roy’s ability to keep his side playing attractive and effective football makes this a deserved win.
Goal of the Year: Kamory Doumbia, Stade Brestois
Doumbia, a Malian international on loan with Brest from Stade de Reims, is a deserved winner of the Just Fontaine award for the best goal of the season, taking the honors with a powerfully struck volley from the edge of the area in a 4-0 win over Lens in December.
Young Player of the Year: Warren-Zaïre Emery, Paris Saint-Germain
Only recently 18, Zaïre-Emery became a regular in the team under Christophe Galtier last season, but has made a quantum leap in the current campaign under Luis Enrique. Now one of the first names on the teamsheet and a full French international, the teenager has impressed with his workrate and ability on the ball in midfield.
