Marseille are keeping pace with PSG at the top, with six wins and a draw each after seven games. Only a superior goal difference has the capital club top for now.

THE PLAYER: Alexis Sánchez

The Chilean will have been deeply frustrated at having to miss his new club’s Champions League defeat away to Tottenham in midweek due to a suspension carried over from last season when he was playing for Inter Milan. He returned to the starting line-up here and scored the equaliser, the goal his fourth in his last four appearances.
