RC Lens delivered a great performance at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, earning a remarkable 2-1 win against Sevilla in their final Champions League group stage match. This victory was not enough for Lens to continue in the Champions League, but enough to secure their ticket to the Europa League knockout stages.

The game ignited in the 63rd minute when PrzemysΕ‚aw Frankowski converted a penalty, putting Lens in the lead. Later, Sevilla was awarded a penalty, initially saved by Lens' goalkeeper Brice Samba, but Sergio Ramos capitalized on the retake, equalizing for Sevilla.

In a stunning turn of events, Angelo Fulgini netted a dramatic 96th-minute goal, assisted by Florian Sotoca, sealing Lens' victory in nail-biting fashion.

Lens faced a tough first half, they did not have any touches in the opposition box in the first half against, a first since the appointment of Franck Haise in March 2020. Nevertheless, their second-half resilience showed their determination, securing a memorable win.

Lens continues to excel at home in the Champions League, with five of their six victories in the competition achieved at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. This win extends their unbeaten streak to six consecutive European games on home soil.

Looking ahead, Lens shifts focus to Ligue 1, hosting Stade de Reims at home. This match provides another opportunity for Lens to show their resilience and carry with momentum from their Champions League win.
