The calendar release follows the earlier adoption of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) Board of Directors' decision on November 30, 2023. This decision includes the scheduling of both the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT seasons, considering the State's directive to avoid organizing competitions before and during the Olympic Games.
Ligue 1 Uber Eats:
Starting on the weekend of August 16, 2024, the 2024/2025 Ligue 1 Uber Eats season promises an uninterrupted schedule without midweek match days. The 15th round, scheduled for the weekend of December 13, 2024, will conclude the year's fixtures, followed by the Round of 64 of the Coupe de France the following weekend. The season resumes with the 16th round scheduled for the weekend of January 3, 2025, and culminates with the 34th and final round on the weekend of May 17, 2025.
Ligue 2 BKT:
Mirroring the start date of Ligue 1 Uber Eats, the 2024/2025 Ligue 2 BKT season will kick off on August 16, 2024, and wrap up on May 10, 2025. This forthcoming season marks a shift to 18 clubs and 34 matchdays, aligning with Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Additionally, two matchdays— the sixth matchday (Tuesday, September 24, 2024) and the 11th (Tuesday, October 29, 2024)— are scheduled during the week. The season's last round before the Christmas break falls on the weekend of December 14, 2024, followed by the resumption on January 4, 2025.
Playoffs:
The playoff between the fourth and fifth-placed sides in Ligue 2 BKT is set for Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The winner will face off against the third-placed team in Ligue 2 BKT on Friday, May 16, 2025. Moreover, the playoffs for promotion to Ligue 1 Uber Eats begin with the first leg on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and the return leg on Sunday, May 25, 2025. This two-legged tie will put the 16th-placed team from Ligue 1 Uber Eats against the Ligue 2 BKT playoff winner.
Coupe de France:
The Coupe de France final will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
