Paris Saint-Germain is off to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after their 2-1 (4-1 on aggregate) win over Real Sociedad on Tuesday at Reale Arena.

The capital club's attack tallied six total shots in the first half, with Kylian Mbappé opening the scoring for PSG in the 15th minute for a 1-0 lead to give the team breathing room.

Despite having the home crowd behind them, Real Sociedad had a challenging first 45 minutes, as they only registered two total shots. In the second half, the game got tougher for the Spanish team when PSG scored their second goal of the match.

Mbappé again haunted the Real Sociedad defense as the PSG star registered his brace after scoring in the 56th minute to make it 2-0.

Real Sociedad's offensive performance picked up notably in the final 45 minutes, managing to take a total of 12 shots and securing a late goal courtesy of Mikel Merino.

Gianluigi Donnarumma put on an impressive show during the 90 minutes, pulling off six saves even if the Italian goalkeeper let one slip past in the 89th minute, preventing him from keeping a clean sheet.

PSG will now shift their focus back to Ligue 1 as they host Stade de Reims. After two straight draws, the Parisians will aim to get back into the win column against a challenging team.
