8.67 million fans attended Ligue 1 Conforama matches in 2018-2019, a rise of 1.54% on the previous season, which was in itself a record breaker.
With an average of 22,831 spectators per match, Ligue 1 Conforama's attendances are continuing to progress despite the difficult context of the season that has just finished with many matches postponed. The rise in spectator numbers has been accompanied by a rise in the attendance-to-capacity rate from 71 to 74%.
Didier Quillot, the Executive Director General of the LFP, said: "The results prove the attractiveness of Ligue 1 Conforama. The clubs have worked in order to enhance the spectator experience and this has led to a new record. The results are even more encouraging given the clubs had to face up to multiple postponements this season. The work underway at the Ligue and with the clubs in order to get to know our public better must allow us to improve the fan experience and increase the loyalty of the fans."
Olympique de Marseillle topped the average attendance table with 50,631 and had the highest attendance of the season at 64,696 for the Week 11 game against Paris Saint-Germain.
