Stéphane Bahoken grabbed the only goal as Angers SCO won 1-0 at Girondins de Bordeaux on Saturday.
Girondins de Bordeaux 0 - 1 Angers SCO
The only goal of the game came five minutes before half-time. Flavien Tait played a ball in from the left-hand edge of the penalty area and Bahoken stole in between Maxine Poundjé and Alexandre Lauray to turn the ball into the net.
Stéphane Moulin's side then held on to take all three points. They have lost just once in nine games now and their hopes of a top-half finish are still alive before they host Paris Saint-Germain next weekend.
In contrast Paulo Sousa's team have now suffered four consecutive defeats and are limping towards the end of the season. They go to Lille next weekend.
THE PLAYER: Stéphane Bahoken
Another goal for the Cameroon international, who is in double figures for goals for the season and has played a major part in helping SCO to a mid-table finish.
THE STAT: 4
Four straight defeats for Bordeaux, whose form has not really picked up since Sousa's appointment two months ago.
