After losing Neymar for month, Paris Saint-Germain will also have to do without lucky charm Idrissa 'Gana' Gueye, who also picked up a hamstring strain while on international duty.
Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gueye is suffering from a hamstring strain and will be absent from training for the next ten days, announced Ligue 1 Conforama leaders Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Crucial
Gueye, 30, who has proven crucial to coach Thomas Tuchel's plans since arriving in Paris from Everton in the summer, will therefore miss the Ligue 1 Conforama week 10 trip to Nice on Friday as well as the UEFA Champions League journey to face Club Bruges on Tuesday.
The news comes as a real blow for Tuchel, who has been beset with injury absences all season - most recently with Brazil star Neymar, who will be out of action for a month with his hamstring complaint, but also with star strikers Edinson Cavani, who is back in training, and Kylian Mbappé, still short of fitness.
Classique looming
Paris Saint-Germain have won and kept clean sheets in all eight matches that Gueye has featured in this season - in all competitions - and Tuchel will thus be hoping to have Gana fit again on schedule or beforehand as the Classique at home to arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille looms on 27 October.
