Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has targeted sealing the Ligue 1 Conforama title by beating Monaco on Sunday evening in the clash of the top two at the Parc des Princes.
Since Marquinhos joined PSG in 2013 the capital club have been champions every year apart from last season when Unai Emery's men were beaten to the title by Monaco. PSG have an excellent recent head-to-head record against Monaco, having seen off the principality club in five consecutive meetings, most recently in the Coupe de la Ligue final in Bordeaux.
Marquinhos, 23, said: "It's exciting to know we can become champions at home against our great rivals this season who beat us to the title last year. A lot of things play a part in these games. We need to be ready mentally in order to win, play well, score goals for the fans and give them our all. It's not only about being champions, it's about playing well and scoring goals."
Win on Sunday and PSG will wrap up a seventh Ligue 1 Conforama crown with five rounds of games to spare.
