Marco Verratti will miss Ligue 1 Conforama champions Paris Saint-Germain's remaining three league matches and the Coupe de France final after undergoing surgery, the club has announced.
The Italy international, 25, went under the knife in Paris to correct an adductor tendon problem that "went perfectly", according to a PSG statement.
"The date was chosen to enable him to start the 2018/19 season in the best possible shape," the statement added.
Verratti had featured in 22 league matches for PSG this term, registering three assists.
