The coaches of Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 clubs are set to make a €130,000 donation in the fight against COVID-19. OL boss Rudi Garcia spear-headed the effort as the hat was passed around France's football dugouts.

For a few days now, the coaches of Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 clubs have been mobilising to raise money in the fight against the coronavirus -and we now know how much the technicians have been able to raise through their fine initiative.

French sports daily L'Equipe has reported that 38 of the 40 coaches in France's top two football divisions took part in this fund-raising event that is set to hand a €130,000 boost to efforts to battle the deadly pandemic that has swept through the world in 2020.

The coaches used a WhatsApp discussion to coordinate the effort, with Garcia and Philippe Hinschberger (Grenoble) as thread moderators. Thomas Tuchel, the highest paid coach in Ligue 1 Conforama, reportedly wrote the biggest cheque. L'Equipe also indicated that the technical staffs of the different clubs also participated in this great initiative.
