Which Ligue 1 Conforama players and clubs scored the most goals after the 90th minute? Focus on French football's last-gasp specialists…

In American sports, it's called 'clutching' - the ability to be decisive in the final moments of a match - and it has proven crucial for a number of Ligue 1 Conforama clubs this season, with a total of 47 goals scored after the 90th minute of matches.

Amiens and Nîmes at the top

The two best-performing clubs in this respect - Amiens SC and Nîmes Olympique - find themselves towards the bottom of the table. Each of them has scored five goals in second-half stoppage time this season, and after them come four clubs with four last-gasp strikes: Paris Saint-Germain, Stade Rennais FC, Stade de Reims and OGC Nice. It should be noted that only three clubs have not scored a single goal past the 90th minute in the league this season: Montpellier Hérault SC, Girondins de Bordeaux and Dijon FCO.

Late goals scored:

1. Amiens SC, Nimes Olympique - 5 goals

3. Paris Saint-Germain, Stade Rennais FC, Stade de Reims, OGC Nice - 4 goals

7. Olympique Lyonnais, AS Monaco - 3 goals

9. Angers SCO, LOSC, Olympique de Marseille, FC Metz, FC Nantes, Toulouse FC - 2 goals

15. Stade Brestois 29, AS Saint-Etienne, RC Strasbourg Alsace - 1 goal

19. Montpellier Hérault SC, Girondins de Bordeaux, Dijon FCO - 0 goals

Angers and Montpellier the strongest

The club with the least to smile about at the end of matches is Toulouse FC. The Occitan club have conceded no fewer than six goals after the 90th minute, and their place at the foot of the Ligue 1 Conforama table reflects this but, surprisingly, it is Olympique de Marseille - second on the table behind leaders PSG - also came in second among the least successful clubs at the end of matches, with five goals conceded after regulation time has ended.

By contrast there are two clubs who have conceded zero goals in second-half stoppage time: Angers SCO and Montpellier Hérault SC.

Late goals conceded:

1. Toulouse FC - 6 goals

2. Olympique de Marseille - 5 goals

3. Girondins de Bordeaux, AS Saint-Etienne - 4 goals

5. Dijon FCO, FC Nantes, Stade Rennais FC, RC Strasbourg Alsace - 3 goals

9. Amiens SC, FC Metz, AS Monaco, OGC Nice, Paris Saint-Germain, Stade de Reims - 2 goals

15. Stade Brestois 29, LOSC, Nîmes Olympique, Olympique Lyonnais - 1 goal

19. Angers SCO, Montpellier Hérault SC - 0 goals

The Specialist: Boulaye Dia

The 47 goals scored in second-half stoppage time were scored by 43 different players and only three of them have done so on more than one occasion in season 2019-20. Of those three, Stade de Reims' Boulaye Dia is the undisputed king, having pulled off the feat three times. He scored the breakthrough goal put the final nail in PSG's coffin in a stunning upset win in at the Parc des Princes (0-2) before netting two late equalisers, against Bordeaux (1-1) and Saint-Etienne (1-1). Behind Boulaye Dia, Kylian Mbappé (PSG) and Rachid Alioui (Angers SCO) are the only two players to have scored beyond the 90th minute on two occasions.
