Eduardo Camavinga should follow the example of Kylian Mbappé, Paul Pogba and Raphaël Varane to settle into the France team, according to Les Bleus' FIFA World Cup-winning captain Hugo Lloris.

Camavinga, 17, will become the youngest player since the Second World War to feature for his country's senior side if he appears in Saturday's UEFA Nations League game in Sweden or Tuesday's encounter with Croatia in Paris.

Already an established first-teamer with Stade Rennais, Camavinga is being tipped to be France's next global superstar. To scale those heights, Lloris has told him to follow in the footsteps of some of his most illustrious recent predecessors.

"If there is a path to follow, it's the one of his teammates like Raphaël Varane, Kylian Mbappé and Paul Pogba. They came into the national team set-up young, but with a lot of humility, ambition and character. They respond to the demands of the top level. Eduardo is a young player who is settling in perfectly on and off the pitch," said the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper.

"He's a really nice guy. I have an anecdote…What's surprising is that in the bus or at meals, he waits for everyone to sit down before taking an empty chair. That shows his respect and his humility."
