The Professional Football League is very pleased to announce the promotion of Mathieu FICOT to the position of LFP Deputy CEO as of today.

Mathieu FICOT's mission will be to pursue the economic development - both in France and internationally - of the competitions organised by the LFP.

In charge of LFP's media and marketing activities since 2013, Mathieu FICOT has notably led all calls for applications for domestic and international audiovisual rights, participated in the launch of the e-Ligue 1, led the internationalisation of the Champions Trophy in China and brought about the arrival of the first naming sponsors of LFP competitions. Prior to joining LFP, Mathieu FICOT, who holds a DESS (post-graduate diploma) from the Centre de Droit et d'Economie du Sport at the University of Limoges, was successively General Manager of PSG Basket, Director of Acquisitions for France Télévisions and then Executive Vice-President of Sportfive International.

"I would like to thank President Vincent LABRUNE, LFP CEO Arnaud ROUGER and the members of the Board of Directors for the trust they have placed in me. The economic development of the competitions organised by the LFP will be the heart of my mission. The international influence of Ligue 1 Uber Eats will be one of my top priorities."

Vincent LABRUNE, LFP President
"I am very pleased to appoint Mathieu FICOT as COO. His skills and experience are valuable assets to help provide French professional football with new economic resources. Following the successful call for applications for domestic rights, we must work on new challenges to successfully complete the transformation of French professional football and continue its development in France and internationally."
