Monaco coach Niko Kovac is refusing to get carried away before Sunday night's game with Nantes, despite the Principality club's excellent form.

Monaco are fourth in the table and have won all four matches they have played in 2021. Kovac said: "I think we need to keep our feet on the ground. I've heard several players say that they want to aim higher and that's good, but it's about actions not words. We want to build the advantage over the teams behind us and we'll see where we are come the end of the season."

The Croatian coach has seen Montenegrin star Stevan Jovetic score twice in his last three games and Kovac knows he faces a juggling act in order to keep his players happy.

Kovac admitted: "It's not an easy situation for a coach because Stevan works hard all week but when you see the statistics of Kevin Volland and Wissam Ben Yedder it is difficult. Stefan will get his chance, as Guillermo Maripan has had. There's competition for places but I'm happy to be able to count on him and on Golo (Aleksandr Golovin). They are players who come on in games and make a difference and I'm happy with what they produce."
