Given concerns with the travel restrictions in place around the world,Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT clubs have opted not to make their foreign players available to their respective national teams for matches outside the EU/EEA zone during the international break.

At the instigation of the presidents of the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 Colleges, a consultation with all club presidents concerning players outside the France international set-up who are likely to participate in a match outside the EU/EEA zone during the upcoming international break was carried out on Wednesday 17 March.

In the absence of a seven-day exemption for foreign international players made available to their national team, and in view of the response time imposed by international regulations, the Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT club presidents unanimously decided on to apply the FIFA circular of 5 February 2020, taking into account the numerous travel restrictions in the world.

In this context, the clubs will not make foreign players called up for matches outside the EU/EEA zone during the upcoming international break in March available to their respective national teams.
