For next season's European campaign, French clubs will have six tickets available in all three competitions, based on their fifth place in the UEFA rankings. The 2021-22 season will notably see the introduction of the new Europa League Conference.

UEFA Champions League:

Three places, awarded to first, second and third in League 1 Uber Eats.

The top two teams in the league at the end of the season will qualify directly for the group stage of the 2021-22 edition.
The third-placed team in the league will advance to the third qualifying round of the 2021-22 edition, before a possible play-off to reach the group stage.

Note that if Manchester United win the Europa League this season and qualify for the Champions League via their league placing, Ligue 1 Uber Eats 's third-placed side will automatically qualify for the Champions League group stage.


UEFA Europa League:

Two places, awarded to the Coupe de France winner and fourth in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

The two French representatives will go directly to the group stage of the 2021-22 edition.

The fifth-placed side in Ligue 1 Uber Eats will qualify if:

- The Coupe de France winner has already qualified for the Champions League (via the league).

- The Coupe de France winner also finishes fourth in the league.


UEFA Europa Conference League:

One place, awarded to the fifth in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, or to the sixth if the fifth has already qualified for the Europa League by other means.

The qualified club will be the only French representative in this first edition of the third-tier European competition and will enter at the play-offs stage, before the group stage.
