Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler has hit the ground running this season with a warning for all Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs: the capital club will do everything within their considerable means to snaffle up every point on offer and win back the Ligue 1 Uber Eats title in 2021-22.

Currently atop the Ligue 1 Uber Eats standings with a perfect record of four wins from as many matches - and coming off a summer recruitment campaign for the ages that saw Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes sign on - Paris Saint-Germain are looking the goods to reclaim the Ligue 1 Uber Eats title they conceded to LOSC last season.

'Intent on winning'

But, just in case anyone thinks that complacency might creep into Mauricio Pochettino's squad, Germany midfielder Julian Draxler has notified all concerned that the capital club have learnt their lessons from last season.

"We haven't forgotten that we dropped a lot of points last season, so it was very important for us to start well this time around," the technically gifted midfielder, who recently penned a three-year contract extension at the Parc des Princes, told club channel PSG TV. "We have been intent on winning and taking the points, even if the way we've played isn't perfect yet. But the most important thing has been to take the three points, and we've done that."

'It feels good to be ready'

And PSG have taken all three points on every occasion so far, scoring 12 goals in the process, with Draxler bagging his first of the season in a 4-2 romp against Strasbourg in Round 2.

"I had a full pre-season preparation this year because I didn't play at the Euro," said Draxler, who has featured in all four of PSG's league outings so far this season. "I was really ready at the start of the season and the coach put his trust in me. It feels good to be ready physically. I hadn't had a pre-season like that for a long time. I'm happy to be at this club and with this squad. I make the most of it every day."

'It's going to be a long season'

The capital club's next challenge comes in the form of promoted Clermont, who have raced out of the gates this season with two wins and two draws, and Draxler feels that whichever star-studded combination of players Pochettino chooses to field, they will be ready - while maintaining respect for their opponents.

"We know Clermont are a dangerous side," explained Draxler. "A lot of our players will be returning very late from their national teams. The rest of us have worked hard. Physically, we're ready. It's going to be a long season, so you need all the players. And those who are on the pitch will give their very best."
