With a sixth consecutive clean sheet in Ligue 1 Uber Eats at Nantes in Round 29, Léo Jardim notched the longest run without conceding a goal for a LOSC keeper since legendary former LOSC 'keeper Vincent Enyeama.

Léo Jardim took his chance. The Brazilian has been the symbol of the defensive solidity shown by LOSC since Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 24 in Montpellier, where he replaced Ivo Grbic. In Nantes (0-1) last Friday, the northern defence kept a sixth consecutive clean sheet - an unprecedented performance this season in Ligue 1 Uber Eats!

Indeed, Léo Jardim has topped Nice's Walter Benítez (four) and Marseille's Pau Lopez (three) in this regard in the current campaign, but it's not just about the stats: Jardim's run of six shut-outs has yielded a massive uptick in the team's season. When the 27-year-old returned to the starting line-up in round 24, LOSC were 11th, ten points off third, and now the reigning Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions sit sixth, only six points off the podium.

Consecutive clean sheets in Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season:

1. Léo Jardim (LOSC): 6 (ongoing series since 12/02/2022)
2. Walter Benitez (OGC Nice): 4 (from 20/02/2022 to 12/03/2022)
3. Walter Benítez (OGC Nice): 4 (from 08/08/2021 to 12/09/2021)
4. Pau Lopez (OM): 3 (from 31/10/2021 to 01/12/2021)

A first since Benjamin Lecomte

If we look at clean-sheet runs by Ligue 1 Uber Eats goalkeepers in the 21st century, the shot-stopper who signed from Gremio is already in seventh place. In fact, to find the last time a 'keeper had such a run of clean sheets, you have to goal the way back to Benjamin Lecomte with AS Monaco between March 14, 2021 and April 25, 2021 (6). However, LOSC's number 30 is, for the moment, still trailing Vincent Enyeama (11), Salvatore Sirigu (9), Danijel Subasic (8), Steeve Elana (8), Steve Mandanda (7) and Ronan Le Crom (7).

Consecutive clean sheets in Ligue 1 Uber Eats in the 21st century:

1. Vincent Enyeama: 11 (from 21/09/2013 to 03/12/2013)
2. Salvatore Sirigu: 9 (from 24/11/2012 to 01/02/2013)
3. Danijel Subasic: 8 (from 02/12/2014 to 01/02/2015)
4. Steeve Elana: 8 (from 28/08/2010 to 30/10/2010)
5. Steve Mandanda: 7 (from 10/03/2013 to 27/04/2013)
6. Ronan Le Crom: 7 (from 18/03/2003 to 10/05/2003)
7. Léo Jardim: 6 (ongoing series since 12/02/2022)

Better than Mike Maignan
Focusing only on LOSC, it is just Vincent Enyeama - who notched 11 consecutive clean sheets during the 2013-14 season - who has put together a better run than Léo Jardim (6) with the northern club in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since 1950. Behind the Brazilian, we find Mike Maignan with five consecutive clean sheets in 2021-22, Tony Sylva in 2004-05, Jean-Claude Nadon in 1991-92, Philippe Bergeroo in 1979-80 and Cesar Ruminski in 1953-54. That is to say, after shutting out the opposition for a sixth time in row in Nantes, Léo Jardim has already gone one better than Maignan, his predecessor in the LOSC goal, who now keeps goal for AC Milan. This is what we call a successful takeover!

Minutes without conceding with LOSC in Ligue 1 Uber Eats in the 21st century:

1. Vincent Enyeama: 1061 minutes
2. Léo Jardim: 566 minutes
3. Tony Sylva: 553 minutes
4. Mike Maignan: 527 minutes

Jardim's next chance to chase Enyeama's record comes as LOSC play host to Bordeaux in Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 30 action on Saturday, 2 April.
