PSG ease to Angers win

Paris Saint-Germain swept aside Angers 3-0 at the Stade Raymond Kopa to move within one point of the Ligue 1 Uber Eats title.

Goals from Kylian Mbappé (28'), Sergio Ramos (45') and Marquinhos (77') handed Mauricio Pochettino's men a comfortable win, giving them the opportunity to seal the title on Saturday evening against Lens at the Parc des Princes. 

"It was a good game and a very professional performance,'' said PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino, who could secure his first-ever league title as a coach this weekend. "The three points are the most important thing and we are closer to achieving what we want. We have to be focused on Saturday and try to put in a very good performance again."

Marseille cement second place 

Marseille twice came from behind to beat Nantes 3-2 in a thriller at the Orange Vélodrome.Two Dimitri Payet penalties (39' & 55') cancelled out goals from Andrei Girotto (26') and Marcus Coco (41') for Les Canaris.

OM found a winner 15 minutes from time through Amine Harit, to extend their cushion over Rennes to six points.

"We didn't give up and we showed our character," said the scorer of Marseille's winning goal, Amine Harit. "We conceded two poor goals,  but overall we were dominant for the majority of the game and deserved to win."

Strasbourg close gap 

Strasbourg sealed an important 2-1 win over fellow European hopefuls Rennes, to close the gap in the race for Champions League qualification.Rennes forward Martin Terrier scored his 20th league goal of the season (54') to cancel out Habib Diallo's opener for Strasbourg (4'). Ludovic Ajorque headed a 77th minute winner for the hosts to move onto 56 points alongside Rennes.

Monaco surge towards podium 

Monaco put themselves firmly in the running for Champions League qualification after a 1-0 win over Côte d'Azur neighbours Nice at the Stade Louis II.

Aleksandr Golovin pounced to score the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time to hand Philippe Clément's side their fifth-straight win. Nice drop to sixth on the table.

Brest topple Lyon

A second-half goal from Irvin Cardona gave Lyon a 2-1 win over Lyon at the Stade Francis le Blé.

Steve Mounié fired Brest ahead from the penalty spot (27') but the in-form Moussa Dembélé levelled for the visitors (72'). Just two-minutes later, Cardona popped up to head the winner for the Breton side.

Lens continue good form

Lens followed up their derby victory at LOSC on Saturday by beating Montpellier 2-0 at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

David Costa opened the scoring for Les Sang et Or (37') before Ignatius Ganago's header made sure of the points for Franck Haise's side (75').

Reims add to LOSC's woes 

Reims hit an injury-time winner to beat outgoing champions LOSC 2-1 at the Stade Auguste Delaune.

The hosts opened the scoring through Marshall Munetsi (32') before Renato Sanches superbly levelled from range just after half time (57'). Reims captain Yunis Abdelhamid had the final say with his fantastic strike at the death to hand Reims maximum points.

Basement battle ends all-square 

Saint-Étienne came back from two-goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw at Bordeaux.

David Guion's men raced into a two-goal lead through Sékou Mara (16') and Jean Onana (23') but let their advantage slip when Denis Bouanga (33') and Arnaud Nordin (65') fired Les Verts level as both sides continue their fight for survival. 

Lorient stun Metz

Lorient snatched a winner in the eighth minute of injury time to beat basement boys Metz 1-0 at the Stade du Moustoir.

Dango Ouattara fired home the winner in dramatic fashion to move Lorient up to 15th. Metz remain eight points from safety.

Clermont leave it late 

Mohamed Bayo struck late for Clermont in their relegation six-pointer at Troyes, to register a vital 1-0 win.

Bayo broke the deadlock in the 88th minute to move Clermont up to 17th and within one point of their opponents.
