He is one of the best performers at RC Strasbourg Alsace this season and Jeanricner Bellegarde has been a key figure in the Alsatian club's fight for survival for several months now. The most-used outfield player by Julien Stéphan (1473 minutes of play), the former Lens man is displaying a powerful work-rate - but also plenty of quality in terms of setting his teammates up to score.

By setting up Habib Diallo for the opener against ESTAC Troyes on Monday, Bellegarde delivered his fourth assist in 2022-23, which was enough to move him up to 11th place on the official assist chart. The 24-year-old midfielder is continuing his progress, and is RCSA's top assist provider this season, having cooked one assist two years ago and three in the 2021-22 season.

Rony Lopes, indispensable at Troyes

Rony Lopes is another player who stood out in Round 17, and his performance in the same match - against Strasbourg - was a major factor in Troyes' getting an important victory in Alsace (2-3).

With one goal and one assist, the Portuguese livewire confirmed that he is an indispensable element in Patrick Kisnorbo's squad. Involved in seven goals in 13 games (three goals and four assists), the former Monegasque is the second-most decisive player for ESTAC, behind Mama Baldé (seven goals and three assists). With his four assists, Lopes is now three lengths off the assists chart podium in 16th.
